BB highlight's Thursday 12th June.
" Housemates fail the task and will receive only £1 each per day for the weekly shopping budget
" Dennis blames himself for losing and is consoled by Stephanie and Alex
" Rex and Alex exchange words over a lighter
4.21pm: It's the second day of the food budget task and Dennis and Rachel are given their instructions by Big Brother. They find out that if they fail the task each housemate will only receive an allowance of £1 per day, but if they win they each get £5 a day. Dennis and Rachel's task is to hold together a two handed wand that they must guide around a giant, complicated wire track, spread throughout the house. Every time the wand touches the wire, a buzz will sound and they must return to the beginning and start again. If they manage to get to the end of the wire without buzzing within two hours they will win a luxury budget of five pounds per head per day for the group. But in an evil twist, the rest of the house will be wearing muscle stimulating pads. The other housemates will be permitted to watch Rachel and Dennis do the Giant Buzz but must go about their daily business. Each time the wand touches the wire, the other housemates will get a buzz on their bums.
5.40pm: All the housemates are wearing their metallic coloured lycra bodysuits and 'bum buzzers'. The housemates are apprehensive about getting their first 'bum buzz'. Alex says, "We will be fine … there's no need to be nervous". Dennis and Rachel make their first mistake and the housemates receive a 'bum buzz' - they jump up in surprise and laugh. Alex says, , "At least we now know what it feel's like, it can't get any worse". Dennis and Jennifer attempt to follow the wire but keeping touching the sides causing the housemates to receive more 'bum buzzing'. The housemates jump up and scream. Jennifer says, "I didn't think they would make so many mistakes". Kat starts to cry.
5.59pm: Sylvia and Kat are feeling the pressure and start to cry in anticipation for when they will next get 'bum buzzed'. Dennis and Rachel persevere with the task with Rex guiding them on. Jennifer tells Dennis and Rachel that people are 'crying in pain' and 'can they try harder'. Rex remarks that the feeling is quite funny and he rather likes it.
6.08pm: Dennis and Rachel have been taking part in the Buzz Task for 28 minutes. The housemates are still receiving 'bum buzzes' but starting to get fatigued. Alex says, "This is not humane, I'm more than happy to starve". Some of the other housemates agree and say they don't care about the amount of food they receive anymore. Mario goes into the garden and instructs Rachel and Dennis to stop as the housemates aren't happy. Luke asks them if they think that they can really pull this off. Mario calls a house vote and they all decide to continue with the task and not to give up just yet.The housemates continue to get 'bum buzzed'. Alex claims to the other housemates that although she's endured the pain of childbirth and has a high pain threshold she's had enough and decides to take her bodysuit off. Sylvia follows suit. Rex tells Alex that's she's given up too easily. Alex argues back asking Rex how does he know what her pain threshold is. Rex replies, "You are being a baby".
6.32pm: As Sylvia and Alex have taken off their bodysuits and dropped out of the task, the housemates have now incurred two fails out of a possible three. Kat is in the Diary Room talking to Big Brother. She's worried that if she sits down she will receive a 'bum buzz' so she decides to stand. Although she wants the task to finish she is determined to carry on to 'help out her friends'.Alex and Sylvia are talking about the spat with Rex over quitting the task. Alex says, "I don't give a s**t what people say, I would rather live on rations".
7.36pm: Dennis and Rachel have five minutes left to finish the task. They nearly make it to the end but touch the wire in the final minute. Determined to give it one more go, Dennis and Rachel go back to the beginning and Rex asks all the housemates not to take their bodysuits off yet. But they run out of time, therefore the housemates have failed and will only receive £1 per day each for their weekly food budget. Dennis is frustrated at losing the task and is crying in the garden at the ashtray. Alex and Stephanie console him and assure him that it wasn't his fault. Alex says, "Don't worry we'll get through it" and Stephanie tells him, "You tried your hardest … no one thinks anything less of you".Rex joins the three of them at the ashtray and lights a cigarette. Alex accuses him of touching her lighter without permission and tells him she thinks that he has a personal vendetta against her. Rex retorts back, "No I haven't" and walks away. Alex calls him a 'loser' as he walks back to the house.
7.59pm: Alex is in the Diary Room talking to Big Brother. She tells BB that Rex is 'p***ing' her off and that he is 'dictating to her' and she's not happy about it. She explains that normally she would've gone into a bigger argument with Rex but she has taken on board what Big Brother said earlier in the week and is trying her hardest to curb her anger and resolve matters with her housemates. She starts to cry and says, "I just don't know who he thinks he is … taking my things. Everything I have I've earned".
8.51pm: Rex, Dennis and Alex are at the ashtray. Alex tells Rex not to touch her things anymore as she feels 'violated'. Rex says agrees and the argument is resolved.
9.36pm: Dennis is in the Diary Room. He tells Big Brother that he was upset earlier but now feels much better. He admits that he hates failure and it hurt him when certain housemates didn't think he was up to the challenge, especially Lisa and Mario.
11.02pm: Alex, Lisa and Mario are discussing Stephanie. Alex says, "She's definitely got some kind of plan". Mario tells them that he is disgusted in the way Stephanie speaks to him. Alex agrees, "I was always told to respect your elders". They all agree that she needs to glam up and take more care of her appearance as she is only 19 years old and 'letting herself go'.Lisa, Luke, Mario and Stephanie face eviction this Friday.

Very Odd Scoring!
I think the commentators on interactive saw it as I did. Gethin looks a real contender.
..and for those who want to know who was eliminated last night (tonight's show is recorded) will find it here.

Gethin Looks The Man.
Not convinced Sid would actually have been a fan but give me fit young women, wearing very little, being twirled and twirling (not sure that's the correct technical term) around the dance floor anytime over a cheap karaoke show. For the first time I will taking an interest in X-factor this year, but it's SCD that will be getting my juices flowing.
Talking of fit young women we certainly have a number on this years show. Obviously we have the professional female dancers, Erin (Miss Whiplash) and Ola being my personal favourites and also this year every school boys fantasy and also some who are old enough to know better, Kelly Brook.
Her pairing with 'bad boy' Brendan Cole has been hogging the Tabloid headline and it does look a hot pairing, but I shall be looking elsewhere for my main bet.
Women fill the first three places in the betting. The aforementioned Kelly heading the market with Gabby Logan and ex-girl band member Alesha Dixon pushing her close, but on past form a decent man will beat a decent woman in virtually all TV Reality shows. In the two just gone we've had Adele Silva, Marco's choice, massive soap star, witty, enthusiastic, full of fun and charm being beaten by Barry McGuigan who was a lovely guy, yes, but seemed to spend most of the two weeks mashing potatoes. I'm sure they were lovely and fluffy but is that enough to come out on top?. It seems so.
Prior to that we had the dreadful Brian beating not just one young woman but two in Big Brother, so for me it has to be a man.
So which man?. The one that stands out from a fairly average bunch is Blue Peter presenter Gethin Jones.
A good looking guy (almost as good looking as myself at that age..lol) , a large fanbase of kids and their Mums, a good sportsman (he was rugby captain at his university and played in the Lancashire under 21 team), a high profile, popular partner in Camilla Dallerup (the blonde one) and from the short clips I've seen of him and Camilla dancing on Blue Peter he has the potential to go far in this competition. It certainly looks like he's starting from a higher base than two of her previous partners in Roger Black (5th) and the chef James Martin (4th)
9/1 with Victor Chandler looks good value to me. Hopefully it will look even better after tonight's show.
Also if you don't have an account with Victor Chandler I see they are offering to double your first bet on bets upto £50.
All odds here.
A full run down of the male runners and riders below. Women to follow later. As it should be ;)
.
The Men
Dancing/Athletic ability - His age maybe against him but he looks very good for his 60 years and has just finished a run in the musical Guys and Dolls so I'm sure he won't be as dreadful as some of the other older contestants to have taken part.
Partner - The very popular Karen Hardy.
6th with Bill Turnbull and Won with Ramps last year.
Price 20/1. Looks about right.
Dominic Littlewood - Star of Daytime TV (is that an oxymoron?) and all round nice bloke, or short bald ugly bloke depending on your point of view.
Dancing/Athletic ability - Is partial to a spot of barefoot water-skiing, so should have good balance, as for his dancing, I'll let you judge with the following video....here.
He has something in my opinion, but not entirely sure what.
Partner - 'Lovely' Lilia Kopylova.
4th with Aled Jones, 2nd with Matt Dawson and Won with Darren Gough.
Price 33/1. Could do worse. An interesting outsider.
Gethin Jones - Blue Peter Presenter. Zoe Salmon and Konnie thingy both did well in Celebrity Fame Academy despite having truly awful voices so kids and even more so their Mums in Gethins case have already shown their willingness to pick up the phone and vote.
Dancing/Athletic ability - Captained his University at rugby so is obviously a sporty type and from the following short video clip it looks like he can move.
Video here.
Partner - Camilla Dallerup.
5th with Roger Black, 4th with James Martin, 8th with Ray Feron.
Could be her year?
Price 9/1. Looks a great bet.
John Barnes - Ex- Footballer and Pundit. With sportsmen having a great record in these shows he should have a good chance, but already bulky when he played football he's really piled on the pounds since finishing with the footie. Not convinced he'll look too elegant on the dance floor.
Dancing/Athletic ability - If he can show the same balance as he did when he danced around virtually the whole Brazilian side, to score one of the best goals I've ever seen from someone in a England shirt then he'd have a great chance, but see above. Offers of a Slimfast ad look more likely than a win here.
Great goal though......here.
Partner - Nicole 'who' Cutler.
To be fair she's not had great partners.
Last with Nicholas Owen, 7th with Diarmuid Gavin
Price 12/1.
Kenny Logan - Rugby player and husband of Gabby. Sportsman again. This one still in shape and seems a likeable guy from his appearances on Question of Sport.
Dancing/Athletic ability - International Rugby Player says it all when it comes to athletic ability, although he does play for Scotland...lol, could easily go one better than Matt Dawson and win, as another rugby player in Kyran Bracken did on Dancing on Ice.
Partner - The gorgeous Ola Jordan.
Last year was her first appearance on the show and she was obviously being pushed hard by the Producers only to make a shock early exit with DJ Spoony. I don't think they'll let the same thing happen this year.
Price 12/1. Looks a reasonable bet.
Matt Di Angelo - Him from Eastenders, apparently. Haven't watched since Den and Angie. Those were the days :) .
Bit of a heartthrob, so I'm told, but looks the sulky, arrogant type on the little I've seen of him.
Possibly backed up by this article 'Strictly' stars complain about Kelly 'fix'
He seems the only person complaining, or at least the only one quoted. Could throw the toys out of his pram if the judges criticise him too much, or at all.
Dancing/Athletic ability - No idea. Looks fit enough and these stage school types tend to have at least a little training in dance.
Partner - Flavia Cacace.
One appearance. Forced to withdraw with Jimmy Tarbuck.
Price 9/1. Not for me thanks.
Willie Thorne - Snooker player and famous for his appearances on Big Break with the odious Jim Davidson. Fortunately Willie has always struck me as being a rather more pleasant guy.
Dancing/ Athletic ability - On the latter, he was always a tubby guy and he still is, but even more so.
As for his dancing, I've no idea but he is of the age where men and women did tend to dance together rather than take lots of drugs and move in rather mysterious ways.
Time for Bez and some Happy Mondays.
Partner- Erin 'Miss whiplash' Boag
Very popular with a good record. 7th with Peter Schmeichel, 4th with Martin offiah and 2nd (would have one but for the blow-up dolls) with Collin Jackson.
Price 66/1.
.
The Women
The 1st 3 in the betting are all women so expectations are high.
Kelly Brook and Brendan Cole look a dream pairing, but will women vote for her?
Gabby Logan having represented Wales in the Commonwealth Games in Rhythmic Gymnastics obviously knows how to move as does ex Mis-Teeq singer Alesha Dixon.
Anton seemed very happy with GMTV presenter partner Kate Garraway during the preview show so must be in with a chance.
Of the others Penny Lancaster looks too tall to me and Letitia Dean too tubby and Stephanie Beacham too old.
OK not the greatest analysis, but the best I can do at the moment. :)
I do feel, as I've said previously, that men have a distinct advantage when it comes to the voting. It maybe 2-2 so far in SCD, but the two female winners (Jill Halfpenny and Natashia thingy) were far superior to their male counterparts.
Last year Louisa Lytton and Emma 'great thighs' Bunton were much better dancers than the wooden Matt Dawson and on a par with Ramps at times and yet neither made the final.
A decent guy will be a decent woman every time in this show. It will take one of the women to be exceptional or the men not to be upto much for a female winner.
It could happen, but I'll stick with Gethin and small bets on Kenny Logan and Dom for now.

Lee Ryan Leaves Hell's Kitchen
Not much more info, but here's the latest.
With one of the favourite's walking, if you can still get 8/1 on Adele Silva at bet365 then I think she could be worth a small wager.
The Emmerdale Actress looks sure to have a big following from the soap, is quick witted, good humoured and seems to throw herself into anything she's asked to do with enthusiasm. Unlike the wet fish, Lee from Blue, who's thrown the towel in already.
Bet 365 prices here.
...and talking of throwing the towel in. As this diner found out. You don't mess with Marco.
It has to be said, the shirt was pretty shocking.
